Arrested Development to return for 4th season
Taste the happy, Michael.
According to sources at today’s cast panel, it was announced today that there are plans to develop a fourth season of Arrested Development prior to the movie. It would be an abbreviated season to catch us up on what the Bluth family has been doing the last five years, with approximately 9-10 episodes, and 1 character per episode. Release would be summer 2013.
This was reported by New York Times reporter David Itzkoff on his Twitter feed, and also tweeted by Will Arnett and Jason Bateman.

@arnettwill @batemanjason That’s awesome! Your fans are pumped! Pee peeing where? Just Curious…
I now have to hope 2012 doomsday prophecy is a hoax since 2013 will be usher back my beloved Arrested Development…!

I shall remain, as always, skeptically hopeful.
I really hope this all happens. I was a latecomer to Arrested Development, and disappointed to find it had been axed even before I started watching it. Great show!
That’s too long to wait. I remember when the show first premiered on Fox in 2003. IFC has been showing reruns of it but fans want to see new episodes. There have been rumors for years that there was going to be an “Arrested Development” movie. I understand how busy the cast has been with other projects but why tease the fans. They are dying to see new episodes and Fox shouldn’t have cancelled it in the first place. Its sister station, FX should pick it up and it won’t fall victim to being censored so much for content and language.
Sooooo happy. Best news ever. I have been a fan since the pilot. The best comedy of all times. Is Europe making a cameo appearence?@arnettwill
I wonder if that one girl is gonna be in it. Can’t think of her name (George Michael’s girlfriend at one point); Sandy… Blanch… Pam, or something.
